Jess is a certified Nutritional Therapist with a passion for helping clients build healthy, sustainable habits. She holds degrees in Psychology and Family Studies from Central Michigan University, with a minor in Substance Abuse and Treatment.
After initially pursuing PA school, she discovered her true calling in nutrition and fitness, completing her certifications through the Nutritional Therapy Association and through CrossFit. With 7+ years of experience coaching at CrossFit Mayhem, she brings expertise in Aerobic Capacity, CrossFit Weightlifting, Mobility, and Nutrition, along with a deep commitment to helping clients achieve their personal best.
Jess’s coaching approach focuses on building confidence in performance, nutrition, and lifestyle. She loves seeing clients overcome food fears, so they no longer feel anxious about going out to eat or indulging in a slice of birthday cake. Her philosophy revolves around consistency over perfection and encouraging sustainable habits that allow her clients to enjoy food while still achieving their goals.
She finds immense joy when clients share their victories, whether it’s having the energy to spend more time playing with their kids and engaging in outdoor activities beyond their training routine, or if it’s hitting a PR in the gym they never thought possible.
She enjoys working with clients who understand that success comes from building consistent habits over time and, even when challenges arise, are committed to working collaboratively with their coach to overcome each obstacle.
When not working or training, she enjoys life in the country with her children, spending time outdoors, playing sports, gardening, and staying close with family.

"Jessica Hunsucker has been a wonderful friend. She has been a support system to me in not just nutrition but life. When life happens and you have a sounding board and an ear to listen, it means the world. I have had ups and downs and learned so much about nutrition and lifestyle. I have learned how to fuel my body in a way I can sustain long term. I have learned how and what to eat without being so rigid in my tracking. I can see a positive change in my body and confident in my ability to tweak my intake to fit my goals."

"I have now been coached by Jessica Hunsucker for a year now. She has taught me how to properly feed myself and I have never felt starved during this entire process. Yes it’s a process and it’s not something you understand or learn overnight. She had to retrain my thought process and taught me that food is fuel and not the enemy. Since starting with M2Performance I have hit countless PR’s and for the first time, I am finally happy with my body."

This can make accurately tracking your macros for protein a little tricky. We've outlined some of the common mistakes people make when logging your macros into MyFitnessPal and a few easy ways to avoid those missteps in the future.
